Alaskan Klee Kai Temperament

This is a highly intelligent and curious dog breed.

They tend to be standoffish and wary around unfamiliar individuals, and therefore make excellent watchdogs.

Their inherently reserved nature among strangers necessitates continual socialization throughout their lives.

They are considered moderately active dogs.

The breed has an instinctive prey-drive and unless properly introduced and raised with smaller animals, like cats, birds and hamsters, they will hunt and kill them.

They also require supervision around smaller children as they do not tolerate abuse, but make great family pets nonetheless.
